E & O Tool & Plastics
Inc. announces the purchase of
computer programmable Coordinate Measuring Machines (C.M.M.),
Laser Part Marking equipment, Solidworks CAD workstations,
and Mold Flow software to support both their Elk
River, Minnesota and Monterrey, Mexico facilities.
E &
O Tool & plastics announces the addition of Scheffield computer
programmable, Coordinate Measuring Machines, to their Elk River,
Minnesota, and Monterrey Mexico facilities. They have added 2
Solidworks CAD workstations, and Moldflow simulation software to
their Elk River Engineering Center; and automated, in line as
well as off line Laser Part Marking equipment, to their
Monterrey Mexico operation.
Director of Quality, Helen Swanson explains; “Our First Article
and Capability Study requirements at both Elk River and
Monterrey Mexico continue to grow, as a result of increased
product development by our customers and our internal continuous
improvement efforts.”
Engineering Manager, Joel Schafbuch notes; “The addition of
Solidworks and Moldflow will help E&O reduce the design time
necessary to build molds and improves our Design for
Manufacturability analysis. Moldflow simulation
improves our ability to identify molding issues before designing
and building molds. It is more effective than just looking at
prints and models. The addition of these tools demonstrates our
commitment to improve our capability and the menu of services we
offer our customers.”

E & O Tool & Plastics Inc. announces
the addition of electric and hydraulic injection molding
presses, increasing the capacity at both their Elk River
Minnesota and Monterrey Mexico facilities.
E & O Tool & plastics announces the addition
of 5 injection presses, 3 to their Elk River Minnesota
operation, and 2 at the Monterrey Mexico facility. The
Elk River operation added new 250 ton and 500 ton Toshiba
hydraulic presses and a 300 ton Negri Bossi electric. The
Monterrey Mexico operation added new 120 ton and 160 ton
Negri Bossi electric presses.
Director of Operations, Steve Durant explains; “Our
sales growth at both Elk River and Monterrey Mexico is
a result of our continued partnership with key customers,
as well as the addition of new accounts. Our addition of
the high performance Negri Bossi electric presses demonstrates
our commitment to improve our capability as well as our
capacity. The repeatability, ease of set up, and improved
production efficiency are all benefits of these electric
presses.”

E & O Tool & Plastics Inc. announces
a Grand Opening ceremony for their Monterrey Mexico molding
facility.
E & O began operating a 21,000 square foot injection
molding operation in Monterrey in the fall of 2005, and
with full operation for several months, will now take time
to commemorate the achievements and show their growth capability.
Tuesday May 9, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, an open house will
be held at their facility in the Kalos Industrial Park
in Guadalupe, N.L. Mexico.
Company President Tim Osterman explains; “The expansion
to Monterrey is the beginning of the next phase of growth
for our company. Our partnership with a key customer
offered us the opportunity to expand our relationship with
them, outside the U.S. Our decision to locate in the Monterrey
area, 140 miles south of Laredo , TX , was based on the
availability of a large, well-educated workforce, a developed
infrastructure, and proximity to our customers operation.

E & O Tool & Plastics Inc. announces
the purchase of a Kitamura high speed, high feed Vertical
machining center. The machine also features a Nano high-precision
contour control package.
The new High Speed machining center, with improved rigidity,
will directly machine cavities in hardened steel with a
polish ed finish; eliminating the time and cost involved
in hardening and polishing required with more conventional
milling operations. This machining center utilizes a 30
tool automatic tool changer with a laser sensing unit for
cutting tool adjustments.
Company Tooling Manager, Steve Ouverson explains; “With
the addition of this machine we have increased the capacity
of our existing tool room. In addition we are able to offer
our customers shorter mold lead-times, and more competitive
pricing allowing us to grow in an ever increasing global
mold building market.”

as their Sales Representatives in Minnesota, Wisconsin,
Iowa, and North and South Dakota.
As part of an expanding sales and marketing effort E & O
Tool & Plastics has embarked on a strategy of increasing
market penetration and broadening sales coverage in the
upper Midwest. Knight-Reber, a 4 person sales agency with
offices in Bloomington , Minnesota and Middleton , Wisconsin
has been representing high quality manufacturers in the
upper Midwest since 1986.
Company Director of Sales and Marketing, Rob Clarno explains; “With
the addition of Knight- Reber, our sales growth and diversification
plans for the next 2-5 years will be assured. Our customers

the establishment of a 21,000 sq. ft injection molding
facility in the Monterrey area of Mexico.
Continued growth of our customer base necessitates adding
a molding operation in Mexico . The Monterrey facility
will initially be a 5 press operation; however the plant
size and layout allows for a significant increase in capacity
as new work is added. Initially E & O will employ 20
workers and will operate 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.

the purchase of 3 additional injection molding poresses
to support growth plans at their Elk River molding facility.
Continued growth with their current customer base in Minnesota
, has meant considerable investment in equipment.
Continued growth with our current customer base in Minnesota
has necessitated adding 3 injection presses and several
pick & place robots. The Elk River , Minnesota custom
molder has purchased 500, 390, and 250 ton presses. In
addition to support their drive to achieve lean molding
initiatives, automated pick and place robots have been
purchased for the new presses.
